Conor McGregor beat up Nate Diaz for about eight minutes. McGregor landed count left hands, opening his right eye up, body shots that seem to hurt and slow Diaz as well.
In the second round, Diaz was able to land some hard shots flush to McGregor’s chin. McGregor seemed to wobble, then recover, but not for long. McGregor in trouble shot in for a double, and Diaz was able to take the back and secure the rear-naked choke.
In defeat, Conor McGregor was humble and gave praise to Nate in the fight. McGregor believed he spent too much energy in the first round and it caught up to him.
No word on what weight Conor will fight at next.
