Video: Chael Sonnen Discusses Jon Jones’ 1-Year Suspension For His Failed Drug Test

“Dick Pill”

Today, USADA issued a 1-year suspension on Jon Jones for failed drug test on June 16, ahead of  his title fight with Daniel Cormier at UFC 200. The suspension is retroactive to July 6, the date Jones was pulled from the PPV fight. Jones tested positive for the banned substances clomiphene and letrozole.

“Although I was hopeful for a better outcome in the USADA ruling today I am very respectful of the process in which they allowed me to defend myself,” Jones said in a statement to ESPN. “I have always maintained my innocence and I am very happy I have been cleared in any wrongdoing pursuant to the allegations made that I had intentionally taken a banned substance. I am pleased that in USADA’s investigation they determined I was ‘not a cheater of the sport.’

According to ESPN, Jones’ attorney Howard Jacobs asserted the banned substances entered his system in the form of a sexual enhancement pill he believed was Cialis, a brand form of tadalafil.
