Invicta Fighting Championship makes its way to Las Vegas for the first time on July 9, for Invicta FC 13. This Thursday night card is part of International Fight Week, and will stream live on UFC Fight Pass.
Three titles are scheduled to be on the line. Featherweight champion, Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Justino (13-1, 1 NC) will be defending her title in the main event against New Zealand’s Faith “The Immortal” Van Duin (5-1). Justino has finished her last three opponents via TKO, the most recent coming at Invicta FC 11 when she stopped challenger Charmaine Tweet in 46 seconds. Van Duin made her promotional debut at Invicta FC 12 in April, submitting Amanda Bell in the second round.
The second of three title fights on the card will crown a new champion in the bantamweight division, veteran Tonya Evinger (15-5) faces rising prospect Irene Aldana (5-1) of Mexico. Evinger is riding a six-fight winning streak, while Aldana has submitted her last two opponents in the first round.
Newly crowned Invicta FC Atomweight Champion, Herica Tiburcio (9-2) of Brazil, defends her belt for the first time against Ayaka Hamasaki (11-1) of Japan. This bout was originally scheduled for last fall at Invicta FC 9.
