“Cro Cop” Returns For His Legacy At UFC Fight Night

Returning to the octagon this weekend, Pride veteran, Mirko Cro Cop. Cro Cop has been out of the UFC for a few years now, but will return to fight Gabriel Gonzaga. Gonzaga knocked out Cro Cop with his own famous head kick.

After losing his last 3 fights in the UFC, Cro Cop was released. Since then, he was gone 3 for 4, winning his last 2. Gonzaga is on a 2-fight skid, with back to back losses to Stipe Miocic and Matt Mitrione. Cro Cop is looking to redeem himself from that devastating knockout he suffered from Gonzaga in 2007, while Gonzaga is looking to get a much needed win. This is also a chance for Cro Cop to make a big statement to show that he still belongs in the UFC.

With time away from the UFC, let’s hope Cro Cop has made the right adjustments to hang with the top heavyweights in the world. At the age of 40, Mirko Cro Cop is at the end of his career, and may not have many fights left. At UFC Fight Night: Gonzaga vs. Cro Cop II, we will see if the Croatian still has the fight in him that brought him success back in the Pride days.
