Second Chance For “The Bully” At UFC Fight Night 63

Coming off of a first round submission victory over Dennis Bermudez, a top ten ranked featherweight, Ricardo “The Bully” Lamas is on his way to his second title shot. A win over Chad Mendes would solidify Lamas as the next contender to face the winner of Aldo vs. McGregor. Ricardo Lamas and Chad Mendes are both strong wrestlers and could cancel each other out in the grappling department, but they also have excellent striking. The heavy hands they possess only make it a bonus in the striking battle we’re going to see in the main event this weekend, at UFC Fight Night 63.

Mendes is coming off of a loss to the champ, Jose Aldo. Mendes would have to win a couple more fights in outstanding fashion before he can get another title shot. We should expect to see an equally skilled fight between Lamas and Mendes, who are both ranked in the top five featherweights. It comes down to who wants it more.
