Jonathan Harris: “I’m a whole different fighter now.”

Friday, February 27th, Legacy Fighting Championship returns to Houston with a stacked card from top to bottom. On this card, we are treated to a rematch of two fighters who genuinely do not like each other, Jonathan Harris and Mike Bronzoulis. I spoke with Harris about his upcoming fight, and he all but assured me that he is very motivated for this one.

In their first meeting in 2010, Bronzoulis left with a TKO victory, leaving “The Hulk” with a bad taste in his mouth. Since then, Harris has gone 5-3, but has always wanted the rematch to take place. Even with his opponent’s weight issue, Harris wasn’t going to miss the opportunity to get back in the cage with “The Greek.” “Everything has changed” since their last fight; “I am a whole different fighter now. I took the loss and used it as motivation.” Motivation that would ultimately lead “The Hulk” back to avenge his loss 4 and a half years later.

When asked how he would like to end this fight, Harris simply respond “KO!” This could happen via “Hulk Smash” which Harris claims he has successfully landed in a sanctioned fight. In their first fight, the weigh-ins got a bit out of hand, leading to a scrum, and an infamous tossing of salad. I could not miss the opportunity to ask if their would be any salad tossing this time around, “probably yes, because Mike is a salad tossing bitch!”

In what looks to be a barn burner, Jonathan Harris is on a mission and won’t be denied. Harris would like to thank Athlon Solutions, Everyone’s Insurance, Winters Family Beef, Sandavol Tattoo’s. Also, his coaches Frank Adame, Brandon Mullins, and Draculino; his manager Wes Winters, Gracie Barra Texas, and girlfriend, Jennifer Ramsey, for putting up with his shit.
