Legacy Fighting Championship is releasing match-ups for the next card to take place in Houston. So far with have the Middleweight Title fight between Bubba Bush and Noel Ligon, as well as other names like Robert Drysdale and Matt Schnell. So far so good. I believe Mick is trying to top one of the best cards Legacy has ever had in Legacy 14.
UPDATED 11-12-12: Rashon Lewis was injured during training. Patrick Hutton will step in to face Charlie Ontiveros. UPDATED 10-31-12:Nick Gonzalez steps in to replace Carlos Diego versus Ray Blodget. UPDATED 10-30-12: Eric Garcia is out of his fight with Mark Garcia and will be replaced by Alex Black. UPDATED 10-22-12: Noel Ligon is injured; Jon Kirk will step in to face Bubba Bush in a non-title fight. UPDATED 10-18-12:Colin Wright will now face Gerzan Chaw who is replacing Carlos Jiminez
Legacy FC is coming back this summer and the card is already starting to bring the heat. Recently signed fighter Jay Hieron, who is a veteran of the UFC, WEC, Strikeforce & Bellator, will be taking on former LFC Welterweight Champion, Mike “The Greek” Bronzoulis.
Also on the card, Steve Garcia of 4oz Fight Club will be making his Flyweight debut against Will Campuzano for the vacant Flyweight title. This card will only get better from here.
Legacy Amateur Series is back at the House of Blues! The intial card has been released. Like all the LAS fights, these will be part of the Legacy Amateur Series tournament they are running. Again, whoever wins the tournament will gain a Legacy FC 3 fight contract at the end of the year.
Garcia Promotions is back with their 8th installment. There are a full list of fights on this card so far, but like always, it will change. Mike “The Truth” is scheduled to fight on this card. There are plenty talented fighters you’ve seen before and some new faces that are ready to make their mark on Houston MMA.
Cage Combat 6 is just around the corner, November 4, 2011. Doors open at 6:30, fights start at 7:30. I don’t know wheather to be excited or what about this. I’m happy to be on the card, but I don’t have an opponent yet. I was supposed to take on Ryan Rivera, but he decided it was in his best interest to not fight me. UPDATE 9-14-11: Ryan Rivera once again backed out of a fight with Chas Liberty. He was originally scheduled to fight me, but backed out. This is the SECOND time Ryan has backed out of a fight with Chas.
I will now be fighting Eric Schechinger. He came on MikeTheTruth.com and TheCageDoor.net looking for a fight, he now has one. Much respect to Eric for taking the fight.
