Legacy Fighting Alliance has announced they will heading to Belton, Tx for LFA 78. The event will take place at the Bell County Expo on November 15, and will be headlined with a highly touted bantamweight fight between Adrian Yanez and Kyle Estrada. In the co-main event, local favorite Hailey Cowan faces Lisa Mauldin in a battle between top women flyweight prospects.
Yanez (9-3) is a Houstonian and LFA standout that got his start in the sport with Legacy FC, before the LFA merger. The 25-year-old Metro Fight Club standout now looks to take the next step back into title contention at LFA 78. Since 2017, Yanez is 4-2, with 3 of those wins coming via finish, and the 2 decision loses are against fighters who are now on the UFC roster.
Estrada (10-4) is an Indiana native that now calls southern California home. Upon signing with LFA this past summer, Estrada has won two straight. Training out of Black House MMA and Saekson Muay Thai, Estrada has surrounded himself with some of the best in the business, and is looking to earn himself a spot in a title fight.
The co-main event of LFA will see a flyweight showdown between two of the top women’s MMA prospects. Hailey Cowan (4-1) returns home after knocking off her past four opponents to face Lisa Mauldin (3-1). Mauldin is a well-rounded California standout, who doesn’t mind playing spoiler to the hometown fighter.
