Hawaii MMA fighter Arnold Berdon III has been arrested on suspicion of second degree attempted murder.
According to Honolulu Police, he was arrested at the HPD Main Station on King Street around 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
His arrest comes two days after his wife, also a Hawaii MMA fighter, Rachael Ostovich-Berdon, was assaulted.
Honolulu Police report a 27-year-old male suspect was arguing with a 27-year-old female victim when he allegedly assaulted the woman causing head injuries.
HPD did not name Ostovich but the Honolulu Star-Advertiser connected the incident to her.
The incident happened around 2 a.m. Sunday at a home in Wai’anae.
On Monday Ostovich-Berdon filed a temporary restraining order against her husband.
In a statement released Monday by her management company, Ostovich has pulled out of her January UFC fight against Paige Van Zant after suffering a fractured bone on her face and other injuries.
I hope Rachael heals both mental and physically from this.
