Valentina Shevchenko returned to 125-pounds at UFC Belem against UFC newcomer Priscila Cachoeir. Shevchenko was out to make a statement with a complete shutout victory over Cachoeir in the second round.
The fight itself is marred with the horrible officiating from Mario Yamasaki. There were several moments where Cachoeir was not defending herself, eating unanswered punches, he just looked on. Eventually, Shevchenko would take the back and lock in the rear-naked choke. Horrible officiating like this will hurt fighters both short-term and long-term.
