June 27 is a Houston holiday and should be treated as such. DJ Screw gave us the freestyle with the same name, and is arguably the most famous freestyle to come out of the city; it’s more than 35 minutes long. The song features, Big Moe, Key-C, Yungstar, Big Pokey, DeMo, Haircut Joe and Kay-Luv. The group rapped over a screwed sample of Kriss Kross’ ‘Da Streets Ain’t Right’.
What better way to pay homage to DJ Screw than to have a video montage of #27 of the Houston Astros, Jose Altuve, with the June 27 beat playing in the background. Enjoy.
One time for DJ Screw. #June27th https://t.co/fHdHowQIal
