Earlier this week, comedian Charlie Murphy passed following a battle with Leukemia at the age of 57.
Early in his career, Charlie Murphy looked to climb out of the shadow of his young brother, Eddie Murphy. Murphy would star in low key roles in popular movies such as CB-4 and Harlem Nights, but left memorable impressions with the small time he had.
The younger generations know Charlie Murphy from his skits on Chappelle’s Show, most notable, his True Hollywood stories about his time with Rick James and Prince.
Dave Chappelle stopped by a John Mayer concert in Ohio on Wednesday, the morning Murphy passed away, to pay tribute to his friend.
