Legacy Fighting Alliance Heads to Houston For a Flyweight Showdown at LFA 7

Legacy Fighting Alliance has announced that LFA will make its first trip to its hometown of Houston on March 24. LFA 7 will be headlined by undefeated Houstonian Roberto Sanchez, taking on former Legacy FC title challenger Klayton Mai.

Sanchez (5-0) rose to national prominence in 2016 when he was the featured fighter on the fifth episode of UFC President Dana White’s hit reality show Dana White: Lookin’ for a Fight. The former high school math teacher showcased his elite grappling skills at Legacy FC 50 and picked up a submission win in front of a star-studded crowd, which included White, Matt Serra, Sage Northcutt, NFL superstar Adrian Peterson, and Grammy Award nominated rapper Paul Wall.

Mai (8-2) brings a wealth of experience into the LFA 7 headliner against Sanchez. “The Python” has won two bouts for Bellator and competed four times for Legacy FC. That includes a submission victory over current UFC fighter Matt Schnell at Legacy FC 32. The former Legacy FC title challenger is now looking to establish himself as a top contender in the newly merged LFA.
