Earlier today, news broke that the Nevada State Athletic Commission would not approve Cain Velasquez to fight at UFC 207 against Fabricio Werdum. After physicals and interviews, the athletic commission felt that he was unfit to compete. This decision comes several days after Velasquez gave an interview with ESPN.com, in which he admitted to having intense back pains throughout his training camp. Unfortunately, Velasquez is no stranger to withdrawing from fights. He has been forced from fights in the past and has also taken time off to recover from other injuries and surgeries.
UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis is having a breakout year, not only in the cage but outside as well.
