One of the most recognized MMA journalists, Helwani was given a lifetime ban at UFC 199 do to him breaking the news of Brock Lesnar signing with the UFC before the company did. The organization had a promo video set to air during the PPV, but Helwani received the information from several of his sources prior. Dana White had Helwani and his crew, Esther Lin and Casey Leydon, escorted out of the building, and their credentials revoked.
I’m glad this situation is resolved and we can most forward. This is a win for MMA journalist.
