Scott Coker went on ESPN’s Sports Center to announce that Kimbo Slice (6-2, 2-0 BMMA) will return to the cage at Bellator 158 on July 16, in London’s O2 Arena. Slice’s opponent will be James Thompson (20-16, 1-1 BMMA), and the two will headline the card. This fight is a rematch, where Slice won in their first meeting via TKO. The fight took place under the EliteXC banner back in 2008.
Kimbo Slice is currently serving a suspension for a failed drug test at Bellator 149 which took place in Houston, Tx. With the 90-day suspension being up next month, Coker is confident that Slice will be prepared.
