You would think that the journalist would be reporting from a war zone, and not a water park, to have someone shooting at them.
A TV reporter and cameraman were shot and killed during a live broadcast in Virginia on Wednesday.
Alison Parker and Adam Ward, who worked for Roanoke affiliate WDBJ, died in attack, Parker’s mom told CBS News.
The shooting happened at the Bridgewater Plaza in Moneta, Va., when Parker appeared to be doing a story on local tourism. When gunshots rang out, Parker screamed in terror and ran away before the camera went down.
A horrified anchor back the studio, her mouth agape, said: “OK I’m not sure what happened there.”
We are trying to figure out what just happened — thank you all for your concern and kind words.

As the camera laid on the ground, it seemed to have caught a glimpse of the shooter. I do hope he is caught.
