My first reaction to hearing this news…
Shane Mosley, 43, went to Twitter to announce he will return to boxing, to face Ricardo Mayorga next month. Also fighting on the card, Shane’s son, Shane Mosley, Jr. This will be the first time in history where a father and son fight on a card together.
Just decided 2 make this fight. Mayorga was talking shit & I ran into him in Vegas. Things escalated & BOOM rematch. History in the making!

He didn’t mention any other information such as a location or exact date, but did say that this would be revealed next week.
Mosley’s last opponent was Anthony Mundine in November 2013 and he lost the bout via RTD as back spasms prevented him from completing the fight.
Mosley stopped Mayorga during their first and only bout back in 2008 with just one second left in the 12th round, which inevitably caused controversy due to the judges’ scoring being so tight.
Mayorga will be out for revenge following their previous encounter and the pairs recent form records suggest he may be the favourite. Mosley, who has a record of 47 wins from 59 fights, won just one of his last six fights before retirement whilst his opponent won both of his 2014 fights.
Shane Jr has won four of his five fights.
