It was announced last month that former 2-division Legacy champ, and UFC vet Daniel Pineda (18-11), would be returning home to Legacy FC. Pineda signed a 4-fight deal with Legacy, and it looks like his first fight back will be against former Legacy featherweight champ Leonard Garcia (18-12), at Legacy 37. The event is set to take place November 14th in Houston, TX.
After being released from the UFC, Leonard Garcia was riding a 3-fight winning streak, which earned him the Legacy featherweight title. At Legacy 33, Garcia would lose his belt to Damon Jackson via 1st round submission.
This is a fight that was that was attempted to get made when both were under the UFC banner, and the organization was coming to Texas; nothing was ever finalized. Both fighters are Texas natives, and it is only right that this fight takes place with the Texas based organization.
