Growing up, I was a huge wrestling fan, what young boy wasn’t? When I first began watching, my favorite wrestler was the Ultimate Warrior. The Ultimate Warrior had the face paint, was full of energy, and would cut the strangest promos; most of the time I didn’t know what he was saying.

Over the years it was always said that Warrior need to be inducted into the WWE Hall-of-Fame. He and the WWE had their issues, but they were finally resolved. This past Saturday, he was finally inducted with the other members of the 2014 class.

On the following Monday Night Raw, Warrior came out to the ring and expressed himself in what now, is seen as his final speech. The speech spoke on death and those fans who made the Ultimate Warrior what he is.

“No WWE talent becomes a legend on their own. Every man’s heart one day beats its final beat. His lungs breathe their final breath. And if that man did in his life what makes the blood pulse through the body of others and makes them bleed deeper and something larger than life then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalized. By the story tellers, by the loyalty, by the memory of those who honor him and make the running the man did live forever. You, you, you, you, you, you are the legend makers of Ultimate Warrior. In the back I see many potential legends. Some of them with ultimate spirits. And you will do the same for them. You will decide if they lived with passion and intensity. So much so that you will tell your stories and you will make them legends, as well. Ultimate. You are the Ultimate Warrior fans and the spirit of Ultimate Warrior will run forever.”

According to TMZ, The Ultimate Warrior (Real Name: Jim Hellwig) collapsed outside a hotel in Arizona on April 8th, while walking to this car with his wife.

Warrior was transported to a nearby hospital … where he was pronounced dead.
