On the eve of Golden Boy MMA’s inaugural event, which will be headlined with Chuck Liddell vs Tito Ortiz in their third, and I hope, final fight, the purses were disclosed for the card:
- Chuck Liddell $250,000 (no win bonus) vs Tito Ortiz $200,000 (no win bonus)
- Tom Lawlor $25k (no win bonus) vs Deron Winn $5k/$5k
- Efrain Escudero $10k/$10k vs Gleison Tibau $10k/$10k
- Walel Watson $5k/$5k vs Ricardo Palacios $5k/$5k
- All others range from $1,000-$5,000 (show/win)
Well, this is on par for new promotions trying to get into the MMA promotion the wrong way. Who will be ordering the $40 PPV? And, sorry, the 50% Black Friday sale was canceled.
