Video: Cowboy Cerrone KO’s Matt Brown With Head Kick At UFC 206

If there is a fighter making a statement against weight cutting, it’s Donald Cerrone. Cowboy is 3-0 since moving up to 170lb, and has looked incredible.

Originally set to face Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 205, Gastelum was forced out of the fight due to not being able to make weight. Cowboy being the iron man that he is, accepted a fight against one of the toughest fighters in the division in Matt Brown.

In a fight that had “fight of the night” written all over it, following Dooho Choi vs Cub Swanson, that looked to be a major feat. Both fighters came out landing big shots, but it was Cowboy Cerrone who would walk off with the victory; pun intended. After landing several head kicks early on, Brown didn’t seem to be phased. Then, in the third round, Cowboy would land a walk-off head kick that could move him into the title picture of the welterweight division.
