I am not a fan of the current state of hip-hop, at least not lyrically. It seems like anyone can be a rapper in this current time with social media and the internet. The are a select number of new school cats I listen to, including Big K.R.I.T., Kendrick Lamar, and now Childish Gambino. I just found out about two artists, Will EQ & Nick Grant, who are both hot, I suggest you check them out if you haven’t done so yet.
A few weeks ago, Shia LaBeouf went on Sway’s Shade 45 show and spit fire on the 5 Fingers of Death segment. Hot 97 & Lil Yachty (I don’t know what a “Yachty” is) apparently were not happy with Shia’s bars, and subsequently was dissed by them.
Shia has returned to the booth, to give Hot 97 & Lil Yachty bars.
