Legacy FC Returns To Dallas and Headlined With Two Title Fights

On October 14, 2016, Legacy Fighting Championship returns to the Bomb Factory in Dallas, TX for Legacy 61. The card will be headlined with two title fights. In the main event, recently crowned featherweight champion, Kevin Aguilar, will defend his title against Damon Jackson. Aguilar captured the Legacy 145lb title at Legacy 57, in which he scored a split decision win over  Tony Kelley; it is one of the best fights of the year thus far. Jackson will be making his return to Legacy after having three fights in the UFC.

In the co-main event, Steven Peterson (14-4) will be defending his bantamweight title against Mark De La Rosa (7-0). Peterson is the newly crowned champion as well, winning the 135lb title just one week prior to Aguilar at Legacy 56. Peterson defeated then current champion, Manny Vasquez, with a fourth round rear-naked choke. The undefeated Mark De La Rosa will step into the Legacy cage for the first time in over two years. At Legacy 38, De La Rosa won a split decision over Keeton Gorton. Since that fight, De La Rosa has won five straight.

Also on the card, BJJ world champion Mackenzie Dern. Returning to the Legacy cage, Dern looks to improve on her record with another win. Dern won her MMA debut at Legacy 58.
