Texas Sothern University is having an advance screening of the new film mini-series ‘Roots’. The four-part mini-series will air on the History Channel, and will be spread over four consecutive nights at 9pm, beginning Monday, May 30.
The movie is a historical portrait of American slavery, recounting the journey of one family and their will to survive and ultimately carry on their legacy despite hardship. This version will feature several, great, well-known actors, including, Forest Whitaker, Anna Paquin, Laurence Fishburn, and Mekhi Phifer.
