Angela Hill Gets Title Shot At Invicta FC 17

In only her third fight with the organization, Angela Hill will get her shot at the current Invicta FC strawweight champion at Invicta FC 17.

Added to the card today, Angela Hill (4-2) will meet current champion, undefeated Livia Renta Souza (9-0), on May 7 at The Hangar at OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, Calif. This will be the co-headlining championship fight on the card. The main event will be Invicta FC bantamweight champion Tonya Evinger (17-5), defending her title against No.1 contender Colleen Schneider (10-6).

Brazil’s Souza, made the first defense of her belt in January at Invicta FC 15, when she stopped the previously undefeated DeAnna Bennett by first-round TKO. Earning her spot on three straight Invicta FC cards, the challenger Hill has been on a tear since debuting for the organization, knocking out veteran Alida Gray and former title challenger Stephanie Eggink en route to this championship opportunity.

Also taking place in the strawweight division, Japanese sensation Mizuki (11-4) looks to make it four straight wins when she meets newcomer Aline Serio (9-5) of Brazil.

Latoya Walker (5-0) tests her unblemished record in a featherweight scrap with Canadian Charmaine Tweet (8-5).

Atomweights Tessa Simpson (4-1) and Julia Jones (4-0) square off, both stepping into the Invicta FC cage for the first time.

Plus, Amanda Bell (3-3) tangles with Australia’s Megan Anderson (5-2) at featherweight.
