Derrick Lewis Takes On Nandor Guelmino In UFC Debut

With the idea of “Big News” coming, and to stay tuned looming over the city of Houston for months, the news has finally broke. Derrick Lewis will be making his UFC debut in August at UFC on Fox Sports 1 2. Lewis’ opponent will be Nandor Guelmino. Guelmino is coming off of a lose to Josh Burnett at the final Strikeforce show earlier this year. Even with the lose, Guelmino’s contract was picked up by the UFC.

Lewis on the other hand, is riding a 5-fight win streak with one no contest; all fights have come via T(KO). During this streak, Lewis has won and defended the Legacy FC Heavyweight Title. He earned the belt with a win over All-American wrestler and highly touted, Jared Rosholt. Lewis later defend his belt against BJJ black belt, Ricky Shivers.

Derrick Lewis has not tasted defeat in two years, and looks to keep his streak alive in the top MMA organization. There is no final order to the fight card, but stay tuned to see where Derrick’s fight falls and if it will be streamed live online.
