The tradition of a sports team visiting the White House after winning a major title has been around for more than 150 years.
With the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series for the first time since 1908, you would have to think the Cubs would be getting an invite sooner or later.
President Barack Obama, former Illinois Senator, his term comes to an end in a little over two months and would like to experience the Cubs’ visit to the White House. The POTUS took to Twitter to send a formal invite.
It happened: @Cubs win World Series. That's change even this South Sider can believe in. Want to come to the White House before I leave?
