In 2017, Legacy Fighting Championship and Resurrection Fighting Alliance will merge as one, to form Legacy Fighting Championship.
Separately, Legacy FC and RFA have established themselves to be two of the top promotions, and also have some of the best homegrown talent. Both organizations serve as a feeder league to the UFC.
According to MMA Weekly, Legacy Fighting Alliance will officially launch in January 2017, with Soares serving as CEO. Longtime MMA exec and Ring of Fire founder Sven Bean will serve as Legacy Fighting Alliance COO. Also, the new promotion has already secured a multi-year contract with AXS TV, which will be the promotion’s exclusive broadcast home. LFA is currently planning to air 30 shows in 2017.
