Henry Cejudo vs Joseph Benavidez added To UFC 191

UFC returns to Las Vegas September 5th for UFC 191. Recently added to the card, a battle between a top flyweight, and a rising star. #2 ranked fighter Joseph Benavidez (22-4) will take on #5 Henry Cejudo (9-0). Cejudo has been using his Olympic Gold Medal caliber wrestling to control his opponents on the ground, grinding out victory after victory, on his way up the flyweight rankings. Showing some flashes of quick hands, Cejudo’s game plan of wearing down his opponent for 3 rounds has been shown in his last 5 fights, all won by decision.

Cejudo takes an incredible leap in competition when he takes on Joseph Benavidez. Benavidez is also on a 3 fight win streak in the UFC, and will be looking to use the patented “Team Alpha Male” wrestling skills to cancel out Cejudo’s strength. With a finishing rate of over 60%, “Joejitsu” will look to keep this one from going to the judges. This is by far Cejudo’s biggest test, and will be interesting to see if he can neutralize the former title challenger.
