Ex-WSoF champ, Jessica Aguilar, was granted release from her contract to sign with the UFC, and to fight the best strawweight fighters in the world. Considered to be the best strawweight in the world, Aguilar was hoping for a title shot, or at least a rematch with Carla Esparza. Aguilar defeated Esparza in their first match up, but recently, Esparza made allegations of Aguilar using PEDS; Aguilar denied all rumors.
Instead of those two fights, Aguilar will face off against Brazilian, Claudia Gadelha, at UFC 190. The event takes place in Brazil, and will be headlined by the Women’s Bantamweight title fight, Ronda Rousey versus Bethe Correia.
