Video: Oklahoma Sooners WR Spencer Jones Nearly Loses Eye During Bathroom Brawl with MMA Fighter (Updated)

I keep saying it, people are walking around not knowing what it’s like to get punched in the face, until they’re getting punched in the face. And by that time, it is what it is.

Spencer Jones, an Oklahoma Sooners wide receiver, was caught on camera antagonizing another patron in a bathroom, but apparently that other guy has roughly 10 years of MMA training under his belt. The OU wide receiver quickly found out why actions have consequences.

Jones nearly lost his eye, but is currently recovering from eye surgery. Make better decisions people.

Updated: Walker Brown has been identified as the man defending himself against Spencer Jones in the bathroom brawl. Brown has started a Gofundme to raise money for his attorney fees as well as the surgery he will need for injuries he sustained during the brawl.

“My client would first like to state how much he appreciates the overwhelming support he has received from friends, family, and complete strangers as he deals with the aftermath of the events of February 13, 2021. As always, there is more to the story than what is depicted in the video. What is not shown is the original assault and battery suffered by Mr. Walker at the hands of Mr. Jones and his friend shortly before the captured footage. As can be seen, my client’s nose and clothing were bloodied prior to the beginning of the video. Mr. Walker was legally justified in defending himself in this matter. As a result, Mr. Walker received several injuries including a torn bicep which will require surgery. We will not make any further comment until the conclusion of the investigation by the authorities.”
