Derrick Lewis and Sage Northcutt will get the opportunity to fight in front of their home state fans when the UFC comes to Austin, Tx. On Sunday, February 18, Lewis takes on Marcin Tybura, and Northcutt will face Thibault Gouti.
Derrick Lewis was scheduled to face Fabrico Werdum this past October, but a back injury forced him out of the fight. Prior to the scheduled bout, Lewis suffered a loss to Mark Hunt in June. Marcin Tybura’s fight saw his 3-fight winning streak snapped with a unanimous decision loss to Fabricio Werdum.
Sage Northcutt is coming off of a unanimous decision win over Michael Quinones at UFC Norfolk, improving his record to 9-2. Going 1-3 in his past four fights, Gouti last fought in September, finishing Andrew Holbrook in the first round.
