Well, well, you’re not the law anymore, Melissa Adamson.
McKeesport Mayor Michael Cherepko took to Facebook to announce that the officer, Melissa Adamson, had been terminated after posting online, “I’m the law today nigga” on Snapchat.
Adamson, according to the mayor, had only been on the job a few weeks and was a probationary employee in training.
The Pitcairn Police Department also took to Facebook to release a statement, saying, “There has been a picture circulating around of an ex-female employee of the Pitcairn Police Department. As the picture alone does not constitute misconduct, it is symbolic speech and protected under the First Amendment. However, it is the content of the text in the picture which is unacceptable. The Pitcairn Police Department holds high integrity for the community we serve and this type of conduct will not be tolerated.”
You can’t be on the team for just a few weeks and just jump out with your racist views. You have to ease your way into the system. Young people, nowadays, are so eager. Also, these police departments need to do a better job weeding out the racist cops they’re putting on the streets. It’s not helping the situation.
