Anderson Silva Steps Up To Fight Daniel Cormier On Two Days Notice

Well, I guess Anderson wasn’t trolling us with his Instagram post earlier.

There have been talks all day of who would replace Jon Jones against Daniel Cormier after he was pulled for the anti-doping violation, Gegard Mousasi, Dan Henderson, and Anderson Silva were all tossed around. The Spider will now face the UFC light-heavyweight champion at UFC 200, in a non-title fight.

Being that Silva is coming off of gall bladder surgery, there is no telling of what kind of shape he is in. But regardless, I’m sure DC is happy to fight, and the fans get to see The Spider in the octagon again. Let’s hope that we see more of the glimmers of the former Spider in this much, unlike the Bisping fight.
