Light-Heavyweight Title Up For Grabs At Legacy 58 In Lake Charles, La

Legacy Fighting Championship hops over from Shreveport, La to Lake Charles, La for Legacy 58 on July 22. The event is headlined by a light-heavyweight title fight between Robert Drysdale (6-0) and Ryan Spann (9-2). This will Drysdale’s first fight back with Legacy in over three years. In his lone UFC fight at TUF 19 Finale in July 2014, Drysdale’s win over Keith Berish was overturned to a no-contest when he tested positive for elevated levels of testosterone.

Ryan Spann is coming off of a first-round submission over Aaron Davis at Legacy 48; this was Spann’s first 205lb fight for Legacy. Spann fought for the middleweight title against Leonardo Leite, but came up short. This is another opportunity for Spann to capture a Legacy title.

This card will also feature BJJ world champion Makenzie Dern in her MMA debut. She will take on Kenia Rosas in the first fight on the main card.
