Miesha Tate’s First Title Defense Will Be Against Amanda Nunes At UFC 200

With Daniel Cormier out with an injury from his broadcasting job on UFC Tonight, Miesha Tate filled in for him. While on the show, Megan Olivi announced that Tate will face Amanda Nunes at UFC 200 for her first title defense.

Tate was able to defeat former champion Holly Holm at UFC 196. Nunes defeated Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 196, and took her winning streak to 3.

There is no word on where the fight will fall on the card, being that there will be an interim featherweight title fight, as well as the Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz rematch.
