Undefeated rising star Darrion Caldwell (8-0), headlined his first card at Bellator 151 on Spike TV. Caldwell was taking on former Bellator Bantamweight Champion, Joe Warren (13-4).
Joe Warren was 1-1 going into his fight with Darrion Caldwell, looking to get back in the cage with current champion Marcus Galvao, who was the one to defeat Warren and take his belt. Caldwell, on the other hand, is quickly rising to become one of MMA’s hottest prospects.
Darrion Caldwell wasted no time getting Joe Warren to the ground and working some ground and pound. Warren was able to get back up to his feet but was German suplexed on his head by Caldwell for his trouble. Caldwell was able to lock in a rear-naked choke, and because Warren didn’t tap, was choked unconscious. Caldwell will face the winner of Marcos Galvao and Eduardo Dantas, for the title.
