After Jon Jones was sidelined with his out of cage antics, Daniel Cormier got his chance at redemption to try to earn the title a second chance in a row. He went in against Anthony Johnson and did what he said he would do, not let his second chance at a title shot go to waste.
Withstanding hard shots by Johnson to start the fight, Cormier was able to survive and grind on Johnson to wear him down. In the third round, Cormier took Johnson’s back and locked in the rear-naked choke. In his post fight interview all Cormier had to say was, “Jon Jones get your shit together, I’m waiting for you!”
No word if Jon will call or tweet Daniel to respond.
