Andrew Craig Returns At UFC Fight Night 71 In A New Weight Class

Andrew Craig (9-3 MMA, 3-3 UFC) has taken nearly a year off since his last fight in the UFC. In his last outing, he lost a decision to Cezar Ferreira in San Antonio, TX.

Following the loss, Craig decided it was best to move down a weight class and fight in the welterweight division. Training with world class athletes like Tim Kennedy, the transition to the lower weight shouldn’t be an issue with the proper diet and sound advice. This could be a fresh start for Craig, after going 1-3 in his last 4 fights. This is possibly a must-win situation for Craig come July 15 in San Diego, Ca.

In his first fight at welterweight, Craig will face Edgar Garcia (14-4 MMA, 0-3 UFC). Garcia has lost in the UFC to Brad Blackburn, DaMarques Johnson, and Hector Urbina.
