Legacy 29 Fight Card (Mar. 21, 2014 – Tulsa, OK.)

2014 is set to big the biggest year thus far for Legacy Fighting Championship. As it continues to grow as a top MMA organization, that growth crosses over to expanding in new markets. With four cards scheduled to take place outside of Texas for the first time in the organization’s history, the first one is set to take place March 21st in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The card will take place at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel; and it will be a pro/am card (professional and amateur).

There may be some names that many in Houston are unfamiliar with, but there are surely some notable fighters that are not only veterans of Legacy FC, but from other top organizations.

Legacy recently signed TUF 12 winner and UFC vet, Jonathan Brookins (13-6), will make his debut with the promotion on this card. He will be Cody Fuller (10-7) in the evening’s co-main event. This will Brookins’ first fight at flyweight (125lbs).

In the main event, the vacant Legacy light-heavyweight title will be up for grabs. UFC and Legacy Vet, Paul Buentello (32-15), will take on Oklahoma native, Myron Davis (9-3).

Also on the card, BJJ phenom and Vitor Belfort’s jiu-jitsu coach, Gilbert Burns (6-0). He will face WEC veteran Mike Budnik (13-4); Budnik is riding a 5 fight winning streak.There is also undefeated Thomas Longacre taking on Texas’ Chris Pecero. Pecero is on a 3 fight winning streak; and winner of 7 of his last 8.

UPDATED 2-3-14: Leonard Garcia vs. Shane Howell was added to the card. Garcia will be making the first defense of his featherweight title.
